Detailed Operating Instructions for Electrofusion Welding Machines
Ensure the electrofusion welding machine is properly positioned and connected to the power cord. Grounding is essential for safety. Prepare the necessary tools, including a flat scraper, ruler, marker, and fixing clamps.
Prepare the pipes and fittings to be welded, and avoid prematurely opening the encapsulation of the electrofusion fittings to maintain their quality.
Perform two marking operations. First, determine the scraping area according to the fitting dimensions, and use the scraper to remove the oxide layer and debris from the area to be welded on the pipe. Then, mark the appropriate insertion depth on the pipe according to the fitting dimensions.
Perform three installation operations. For the initial installation, remove the outer encapsulation of the fitting and insert the scraped pipe into the previously marked position.
Next, perform the second installation, installing the fixing clamps to ensure the pipes and fittings are securely fixed in the clamps. Finally, perform the third installation, at which point the electrode protective sleeve of the fitting should be opened, and the output electrode of the electrofusion welding machine should be connected to the electrode of the fitting.
Operate the welding machine according to the operating procedures and input or read the corresponding welding parameters.
Start the electrofusion welding machine to begin the welding process. During this process, the welding machine will automatically compensate for temperature changes based on the welding environment to ensure weld quality. Once welding is complete, the welding machine will automatically stop and enter the cooling phase. Only after cooling is complete can the electrodes and fixing fixtures be disassembled.
Construction personnel must print out or remotely transmit the welding process parameters according to construction management regulations for later review and analysis.
